A global head glass manufacturer
Guidance for automotive glass gluing
The customer is a leading company in the field of automotive glass manufacturing, which needs to use a robot to pick up the glass, apply glue and install it on the car body. The glass itself is a transparent object with certain reflective characteristics, which makes it difficult to detect, coupled with the large size of the upper window, front glass, etc., the 3D vision system is required to have excellent detection capabilities while taking into account the wide field of view, precision to meet the requirements of the bonding process, and reasonable corrective action for the bonding trajectory so that there can be no distortion, leakage, etc. In this project, a laser 3D camera with a wide field of view is used in combination with algorithm optimisation to meet the customer's glass bonding process requirements.
SOLUTION
AT-S1000-01A-E Binocular laser line 3D camera
The product is characterised by high precision, large FOV and high adaptability. Stable structure, high degree of intelligence, strong versatility without the need for secondary development help users to realise flexible production.
High adaptability
For a variety of glass specifications, the system can flexibly switch models and templates for gluing trajectories to guide the robot to perform gripping and gluing actions.
Positional correction
The glass is transparent and reflective, and the laser imaging solution can capture high quality point cloud data that can be processed by software algorithms to guide the robot to complete the trajectory correction.
Lower input costs
The 3D vision system can replace the positioning tool, complete the introduction of new products in a short time according to production demand, improve the degree of flexibility of the production line, and quickly recover costs.
Easy to use
The system is easy to use, and the software can be used without programming. Daily only need appearance cleaning, fixing and other routine maintenance, service life of not less than 5 years.
