A manufacturer of commercial vehicle transmissions
Guidance for gearbox parts assembly kitting
The customer set up an unmanned assembly workshop and used robots to replace manual labour to complete the kitting of various assembly components of the gearbox. The shaft and gear workpieces have strong reflective characteristics and are precision machined parts that require high gripping accuracy. 3D vision system helps the robot to identify the various types of parts such as pins, gears, bearings, etc., and guides the robot to grip the parts according to the requirements and place them in sequence on the dispensing tray, allowing flexible switching of the dispensing scheme according to the production plan. The 3D camera arm is mounted at the end of the robot and slides on the seventh axis to handle multiple material frames, improving overall equipment utilisation.
SOLUTION
AT-S1000-04A-E Binocular laser line 3D camera
The product is characterised by high precision, fast deployment and easy maintenance. Lightweight and compact, with a high degree of intelligence and versatility, without the need for secondary development, it helps users to realise flexible production.
Anti-reflective
The laser imaging solution can effectively deal with the highly reflective nature of the workpiece surface to produce a high quality point cloud and guide the robot to accurately pick and place parts.
Precise positioning
The frame is transferred by the AGV, and the 3D vision system can effectively compensate for the positional deviation of the frame and the workpiece to meet the precision requirements for machining.
Lower input costs
The 3D vision system can replace the positioning tool, complete the introduction of new products in a short time according to production demand, improve the degree of flexibility of the production line, and quickly recover costs.
Easy to use
The system is easy to use, and the software can be used without programming. Daily only need appearance cleaning, fixing and other routine maintenance, service life of not less than 5 years.
